Rockville, MD – Montgomery County Executive-Elect Marc Elrich announced Andrew Kleine as his nominee for Chief Administrative Officer (C.A.O.) for the Montgomery County government. The Chief Administrative Officer supervises county departments and directs the day-to-day operations of county government. Kleine is subject to confirmation by the Montgomery County Council before assuming responsibilities.

Montgomery County Executive-Elect Marc Elrich Announces Transition Team Members

Rockville, MD – Today, Montgomery County Executive-Elect Marc Elrich announced the members of his Transition Team. Marc’s transition team will focus on developing the “first drafts” of strategic plans to guide the administration in focusing on seven Priority Outcomes reflecting the goals that he championed during his campaign. Marc believes the best policies are both data-driven and compassionate, and that county government must be transparent and accountable to residents. Andrew Kleine was named as Transition Team Chair.

Montgomery Co. executive: Democrat Elrich declares victory after commanding lead in 3-way race; Floreen concedes

WASHINGTON — Democrat Marc Elrich, a veteran county council member, opened up a commanding lead over his two challengers in the race for Montgomery County executive, declaring victory late Tuesday night after his closest competitor conceded.

As of 11 p.m. Tuesday with 60 percent of precincts reporting results, Elrich was carrying nearly 65 percent of the vote. Read More >>
